Chrishell Appearing at National Love Our Children Day Soapstock Weekend!
This website was originally created for her fans and to promote the actress Chrishell Stause during her time as Amamda Dillon on ABC's "All My Children." The site's domain expired sometime after 2010. When I saw that the domain was available I bought it with the goal of recreating as much of the original site as possible using archived content. This has been a nostalgia trip for me. I was always a big Amanda Dillon fan. Unfortunately I could retrieve any of the Fan Club Forums. Bummer. However, I just loved reminiscing about all her great appearances. How many were you able to attend?
My kids were so excited to see her in the Mountain State Apple Harvest Festival Grand Feature Parade. It was rather mild that weekend so we all wore our fav Batman t shirts, many representing his top 10 movies. It was a hoot. The four of us standing on the curb each wearing a different Batman t shirt waving and whistling as the parade went by. Several people took photos of us. My sons like the darker Batman imagery. One wore a Batman Sketchy Shadows shirt with its black and white sketch of Batman on his knees with skeleton shadows in the background. My other son had a Batman v Superman t shirt featuring Batman and Superman from the movie Dawn of Justice. My daughter prefer the more subtle Batman shirts with the Hush logo and the classic logo on them. I wore a Batman and Robin Team shirt featuring the dynamic duo straight from the pages of DC Comics in a slightly vintage design. After seeing Chrishell Stause we spent the rest of the afternnon wandering through the festival and sampling apple pies from the baking contest. The firework display was great on Friday night. Well enough about me. Here is Chrishell circa 2006-2009.

MY JOURNAL
September 20
I'm not even sure where to begin. It has been a crazy time for me lately. In my last entry I hinted about other projects which I'm very proud of. As you know now I co-hosted 'You Rock, Let's Roll' on FUSE and am currently in the webseries Luke 11:17. The other projects aren't finished yet, but I will always keep you updated. It was a slow time for me at AMC, so it was really nice to do some other things on my time off.
Now with Chuck Pratt at the AMC writing helm I am back to work as Amanda! You've probably already noticed Amanda showing up much more lately, and I am very excited to say there is some really great stuff coming up. I just got word about who Ms. Dillon is going to be interacting with and I can't wait. Many of you have been writing to me and saying that you've also been writing to TPTB saying that you want more Amanda. I just want to thank all of you for all of your amazing support throughout the crazy Pine Valley years!!
In the time since I've checked in with you last, my sister/best friend was in a terrible car accident in which she was lucky to not be paralyzed. Through much physical therapy she is going to make a full recovery much sooner than they imagined. She is the most courageous person I know and I learn from her strength every day. To have my family's health back, and to have such amazing support from my fans makes me feel overwhelmed at how incredible blessed I am. Not to mention, most of you know that I am also very lucky in the love department (sorry Jordan Knight!) Ha! I hope all is well with you guys and I look forward to seeing you on the message board.
-xoxo Chrishell

Hey guys! I just wanted to check in because I know it has been awhile since my last entry. As you know it has been pretty slow for Amanda lately, but that hasn't been the case for myself. I have been keeping busy with a couple other projects (details to come) and am very happy personally and professionally. I also just did a photo shoot with Amanda Baker (Babe) and will have those pictures up soon. I am loving the beautiful weather and am so happy to have the days back where I can learn my lines in the park! I am very excited about the return of New Kids on the Block and hopeful about the changes All My Children is going through. Now is a better time than ever to let TPTB know what you would like to see on the show. You guys have more power than ever right now
--All the best, Chrishell

More Background On Chrishell.net
Introduction
Chrishell.net began as a vibrant hub for fans of actress Chrishell Stause, who rose to fame playing Amanda Dillon on ABC’s “All My Children” (AMC) in the mid-2000s. The website was not just a fan page—it was a living, breathing digital scrapbook of her career, appearances, charitable efforts, and personal reflections. After disappearing for years, the domain was repurchased and reconstructed by a dedicated fan who wanted to restore the joy and community it once represented.
This article offers an in-depth look at Chrishell.net’s origins, content, and cultural impact, along with a retrospective on Chrishell’s career and her bond with fans. In doing so, it also reflects the broader significance of fan-led digital spaces in pre-social-media celebrity culture.
Origins and Purpose
Chrishell.net was originally built to support Chrishell Stause’s portrayal of Amanda Dillon, a character she first brought to life in April 2005. The website chronicled her public appearances, charitable contributions, fan interactions, and AMC plotlines. It functioned as a mix of fan club, personal blog, and promotional vehicle—uniquely capturing the era before Twitter and Instagram took over celebrity interaction.
According to the website’s current owner, the domain expired sometime after 2010. Motivated by nostalgia, the fan repurchased the domain to recreate as much of the original content as possible, using archived versions and their own collection of fan materials. While the Fan Club Forums were unfortunately unrecoverable, much of the charm and character of the original site was lovingly restored, including event recaps and Chrishell’s personal journal entries.
Chrishell Stause: The Star Behind the Site
Early Life and Career
Chrishell Stause was born on July 21 in Draffenville, Kentucky, and graduated from Murray State University, where she majored in theatre. Her breakout role came in 2005 when she was cast as Amanda Dillon on “All My Children.” Known for her expressive performance and captivating screen presence, Chrishell quickly became a fan favorite.
Beyond AMC
Although Chrishell.net was originally focused on AMC, her career eventually grew far beyond Pine Valley. She appeared in series like “Days of Our Lives”, “Youthful Daze”, and most notably, Netflix’s “Selling Sunset”, which skyrocketed her into mainstream celebrity. Even so, her soap opera roots remain a cherished part of her identity, and Chrishell.net serves as a time capsule of that defining era.
Events, Appearances, and Highlights
Chrishell.net documented dozens of public events and charitable appearances, often with enthusiastic commentary from fans and site contributors. These included:
-
"Stars That Shine" Karaoke Event (2006)
-
Myasthenia Gravis Walk-A-Thon
-
Soapstock Weekend at Villa Roma Resort (2009) — coinciding with National Love Our Children Day
-
Mountain State Apple Harvest Festival Parade (2007) — with co-star Colin Egglesfield
One personal story on the site describes a family who wore various Batman-themed T-shirts while watching the Martinsburg, WV parade. Their excitement about seeing Chrishell in person demonstrates the affection her fans felt—and continue to feel—for her work.
Charitable Involvement and Causes
Chrishell used her rising profile to support numerous charities, many of which were featured on the original site:
-
Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS – She made her Broadway debut in 2007 during a fundraising performance of Cell Block Tango from “Chicago.”
-
Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation – Her favorite charity, supporting children in hospitals.
-
Love Our Children USA – Celebrated annually in April, this initiative promotes child safety and strengthens families.
Chrishell’s involvement added depth to her public image, portraying her not just as an actress but as an advocate for children’s causes and health-related campaigns.
The Fan Journal and Personal Notes
One of the site’s most cherished features was Chrishell’s journal entries, which gave fans an intimate look into her thoughts during career transitions and personal challenges. Some highlights include:
-
Updates on new projects like co-hosting You Rock, Let’s Roll on FUSE and starring in the webseries Luke 11:17
-
Reflections on her sister’s near-paralyzing car accident, which brought an emotional and vulnerable side to the site
-
Comments about her relationship status and playful jokes about teen heartthrob Jordan Knight
-
Encouragement for fans to write to AMC producers and express their love for Amanda Dillon, reinforcing the idea that fan voices matter in shaping storylines
These journals humanized Chrishell in a way few other celebrity platforms did during the mid-2000s.
Audience and Cultural Significance
A Snapshot of Soap Opera Fandom
The audience of Chrishell.net was deeply connected to the soap opera fandom ecosystem, which, in the pre-social media era, relied on fan-run websites, mailing addresses, soap opera magazines, and in-person meet-and-greets. Fans didn’t just consume content—they actively campaigned for characters, wrote letters to networks, and organized fundraisers for causes their favorite stars supported.
Empowering Female Fans
Many site visitors were women—mothers, teens, and soap-loving professionals—who identified with the fierce independence of Amanda Dillon and admired Chrishell’s approachable charm. In this way, Chrishell.net played a key role in female fan empowerment, giving voice to community members who rarely saw their fandom validated elsewhere.
Popularity and Community Impact
Proximity and Engagement
While the website itself had no official location, much of its content centered on Chrishell’s appearances in New York (e.g., Chelsea Piers, AMC filming locations) and tri-state events. The Villa Roma resort in Callicoon, NY, became a notable gathering place during Soapstock weekends.
The community’s impact was felt beyond digital boundaries. Fans contributed personal stories, including family visits to festivals and interactions with Chrishell, further strengthening the community bonds.
Fan-Driven Restoration
The current version of Chrishell.net was resurrected by a longtime fan, showcasing the emotional importance of online spaces that archive not just a celebrity’s career but the shared memories of a community. The re-launch is a testament to the devotion that still exists for early-2000s soap opera stars and the power of digital preservation.
Press and Media Mentions
While Chrishell.net was largely under-the-radar in mainstream media, Chrishell Stause herself has received consistent press coverage throughout her career, including:
-
Proactiv Campaign – She was added as a spokesperson alongside A-listers like Jessica Simpson and Kelly Clarkson
-
Broadway World – Covered her appearance in Broadway Cares events
-
Entertainment Weekly, Soap Opera Digest, and Soap Central – Featured news about her story arcs and character development on AMC and later roles
The revival of Chrishell.net complements this larger media footprint by spotlighting grassroots admiration over commercial press coverage.
Historical and Cultural Value
Chrishell.net is more than a celebrity site—it is a cultural artifact of early 2000s internet fandom. It reflects:
-
The evolution of celebrity-fan interaction before the dominance of Twitter and Instagram
-
The importance of fan-led community building in maintaining actor visibility
-
The legacy of soap operas in shaping daytime television and launching careers
-
The deep emotional ties that viewers form with characters and the actors who portray them
